API UK Memorable Highlights
Welcome to Anomalous Phenomena Investigations International (API)
The API UK team have been working together for quite a few years now and as a consequence we have had lots of memorable moments together, some funny, some scary and some just downright strange! This section is intended as a means to share some of these moments with our readers.
Ivan Brown - One of the most memorable highlights I can recall of working with Ivan on an investigation is the night we were investigating The Grange with a rather odd guest along. Poor Ivan somehow got singled-out by this person to be their personal psychotherapist. I just KNOW that Ivan was hating the rest of the team by the end of the night since we all so kindly and thoughtfully left him alone with his "patient" in the library, LOL!
Jo Carnegie - A memorable highlight with Jo was most definitely the investigation at The Schooner Inn. As she sat happily singing and dancing away in her own little world with a thermos cup stuck to her face Colin captured the moment on his video camera. Lesson, never go to your "Happy Place" when Colin is lurking with the video camera.
Kevin Curry - The Grange was also the setting for this memorable highlight. Kevin, Cindy, Darren Ritson and Karen Smith were conducting a vigil in the old stables. Kevin was stationed at the wall furthest from the door, Darren was sitting in a chair in the middle of the room and Cindy and Karen were sitting on a table next to the door. A rather loud and scary "BOOM" was heard to reverberate through the small room and Kevin became so scared that he JUMPED over Darren so fast that he beat Cindy and Karen to the door! It was a moment of supreme funniness.
Sharon Cobb - Out of all of us Sharon is the most careful of what she does, knowing full well that it could be recorded or videotaped. As a consequence she hasn't really been caught in any memorable highlights, YET! So, I think it only fair to say that just working with Sharon is a memorable moment for everyone because of her great sense of humor, her professionalism and the really cool boots she wears on an investigation, which tend to cause her grief all night long when the guys tease her about them, LOL!
Cindy Nunn - One memorable highlight involving Cindy during an investigation occurred at The Grange. Darren Ritson was along that night as a guest and when Cindy ran downstairs from the upper floor and reported a shadowy figure on the other side of a door with glass panels Darren went back upstairs with her to investigate. He opened the door, popped his head around for a look, went in a little further and then suddenly jumped back out and yelled, which scared Cindy so bad that she screamed and ran down the stairs, LOL!
Chris Carnegie - A memorable highlight for Chris occurred at the Alter-Native Arts investigation. That is the night when Chris turned into a big, blue Smurf! We were in the sitting room of the location conducting a vigil when Chris suddenly went ice cold. He was literally freezing to the touch. His face had also turned a nice shade of Smurf Blue. He became uncommunicative and appeared to be in an almost coma-like state. We checked his breathing, which was unobstructed, and in the meantime a few team members continued to videotape and photograph the incident. We finally managed to bring Chris out of the trance-like state and he was very frightened. Anyway, upon reviewing all of the photographic evidence the next day an orb could clearly be seen entering Chris' mouth and then exiting from the back of his neck!
Colin Nunn - I think its a hand's down conclusion that one of the most memorable highlights for Colin was the night he captured in photograph the ghostly legs walking up the main staircase of The Grange. It is the most superb paranormal photo! Later that night Colin also photographed the ghostly image of two people hanging side by side, almost as if they were on a gallows. Again on that same night Colin photographed a black ghostly image as it responded to the requests of another member to "Come forward" and "Move away."
