Research Resources
Welcome to Anomalous Phenomena Investigations International (API)
Most paranormal investigations teams have a researcher. This is considered good practice and a researcher who knows what they are doing is a valuable asset to the team. Having a 'sensitive' or 'psychic' on your team who can come up with possible names of those who might be haunting a location is great. But if you do not have an experienced and knowledgeable researcher on your team all the names in the world will mean nothing. It is of utmost importance to have someone on the team who knows how and where to look to verify any information gathered at an investigation.
Some teams only require that their researcher verify names and
possibly dates, while other teams prefer more in-depth research,
such as genealogies, census records, old newspaper accounts,
property deeds, vital records of births, marriages and deaths,
etc... Basically any type of documentation that provides a full and
thorough history of a location and the people who occupied it.
Whichever amount of research you require it is always good to have
some beneficial links easily available. I will continue to add
helpful links to this section as time permits.
